Why Ride Colibri?

It all started when Petre was navigating the chaotic streets of Bucharest on his trusty Vespa-style eScooter. It was his secret weapon against the city’s notorious traffic, a tool to get where he needed to be quickly and efficiently. For a while, it seemed like the perfect solution. But one evening, as he was on his way to meet the woman who would become his wife, the scooter’s battery died unexpectedly.

Stranded on the side of the road, Petre had no choice but to remove the dead battery and flag down a taxi, and return the next day to retrieve the dead scooter. It was a frustrating experience, one that repeated itself more than once. Each time, he found himself thinking: There has to be a better way.

That sparked an idea.

What if electric scooters were equipped with multiple batteries to ensure a reliable backup? A three-battery configuration began to take shape in his mind, and soon, Petre’s curiosity turned into determination. He started exploring the market, analyzing existing options, and talking to other riders to understand their challenges.

He documented every pain point he came across, piecing together a vision of what the ideal electric motorcycle could be. The first step was building a prototype to test his three-battery system. It was a rough, experimental model, but it worked. Encouraged by the results, Petre refined the concept into a more polished beta version of the motorcycle.

The feedback from early users was promising!

Soon, the 100 Founders Batch was launched, introducing the world to a bold new way of urban transportation. After countless prototypes and improvements, the Colibri M22 was finally born—a sleek, efficient electric motorcycle designed to solve the frustrations Petre and so many others had faced.

The M22 quickly captured attention, with orders arriving from Berlin to Abu Dhabi, from Osaka to the United States. It wasn’t just a bike; it was freedom, reliability, and joy on two wheels. What started as a moment of frustration had grown into a global movement.

With the Colibri M22, Petre proved that the best innovations often come from personal challenges, and that a simple idea—born on the streets of Bucharest—could transform the way people move around the world.
